Beltline Station

BELTLINE STATION, DALLAS AREA RAPID TRANSIT (DART)
Irving, Texas

Dallas Area Rapid Transit's Beltline Station is the central hub for a technology-based transportation-oriented development, a stop away from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The existing site, defined by native vegetation typical of the Blackland Prairie, has inspired a seamless Texas vernacular style between the landscape and the station architecture. A palette of native grasses, mesquite and cedar elm trees combine with light-colored galvanized metal standing-seam canopies and native Texas granite and limestone columns that will have the ability to inspire the environmental and architectural ethics of the future Transportation Oriented Development itself.
